- What is a UniRun session like?
In the Learn to Run Workshops and Beginners Running Programs we’ll cover a number of topics essential to running the right way. We’ll also learn about preparing our bodies for running and important ways to ensure we recover in the best possible way. Oh, and we’ll run a bit too! The One-on-one sessions will be tailored to your individual needs. Your aim could be to lose some weight, or maybe to improve your general fitness and well-being. Some people have joined because they've always wanted to complete a fun-run and they need help in structuring a program. Whatever your motivation, we'll target the sessions to achieve your goals. There’s always plenty of time in all sessions for questions and review as well.
- Who are the Learn to Run Workshops suitable for?
The Learn to Run Workshops are suitable for those who have always wanted to run but never knew how to do it properly; those who currently can’t run; and those who are returning from a long absence. You’ll start from the very beginning and learn to run the right way to maximise results and minimise injury.
- But I’m scared and a little embarrassed about running in a group.
Don’t be. Many who sign up are a little nervous, some admit later to being terrified. But once you arrive at the first session you'll quickly realise you're not alone. You’ll be working out with others in the very same position as you. As a group we’ll work together to support each other and achieve our common goals. If you still think group training isn't for you, you can always try the 'Run with Manny!' option, or Online Coaching may be the answer.
- Do I need to be fit to sign up?
Not at all. When we say 'beginners' we mean absolute beginners.

- Do I need to purchase anything else to attend a session?
You just need comfortable clothes and a pair of running shoes. You may wish to bring a water bottle, but there are always water taps located where we run. - Where do UniRun sessions take place?

- Who will I be running with?
You’ll be with others just like yourself – those who are keen to get fit or lose some weight in the outdoors and build up or develop their running ability. We cater to all fitness levels – all united by the run!
- What do I wear?
Most people wear shorts or running tights with a singlet or t-shirt, along with their running shoes. - Will it hurt me?
Certainly not! It shouldn't hurt you or make you feel too breathless. If this is your experience from past attempts then you've been running the wrong way.
- Will I be sore afterwards?
As your body adjusts to your new fitness regime, you may experience some soreness. This is your body adjusting to your new way of life. Soreness will lessen as you progress. Warm-ups, stretches and cool downs are incorporated into every session to give your body the best chance of recovery. - When will I see results?
Results will vary from person to person and are dependent upon other factors such as your diet and genetics. That said, if you attend the UniRun 8 Week Program, or take part in regular Run with Manny sessions or online coaching, and also eat a healthy, well-balanced diet, you should start to see and feel results in as little as three to four weeks. - Do you have a Privacy Policy and other customer policies?
